Account Deletion

This page explains how WatchTalkie users can request deletion of their app account and related backend data.

1. How WatchTalkie accounts work

WatchTalkie creates a device-linked account automatically using anonymous Firebase authentication when the Internet channel is used. Users do not sign up with email, password, or OAuth.

This account is used to identify the device, keep a public ID, and deliver Internet talk between devices. Bluetooth and same-network Wi-Fi talk do not require that account.

2. How to request deletion

You can request account deletion directly inside WatchTalkie by opening the app and selecting Delete account in the Xloont footer on the home screen.

If you cannot access the app, you may also request deletion by contacting xloont@gmail.com and including your WatchTalkie public ID if available.

3. What is deleted

When an account deletion request is processed, WatchTalkie removes the device-linked app account and associated app data from the application backend.

This includes the WatchTalkie public profile, device registration, and Internet talk records associated with the account in the application infrastructure. Local channel preferences and last-device data stored on the watch or phone are also cleared from the app.

4. Timing and retention

Deletion requests are processed as soon as reasonably possible after submission through the app backend workflow.

Some residual technical records, backups, or platform-managed logs may remain for a limited period before being automatically removed according to infrastructure retention policies.
